Believing in the presence of God in our midst, we proclaim the sanctity of human life and the dignity of the person by sharing in the mission of Jesus given to the Church.  To this end, Catholic Charities works with individuals, families and communities to help them meet their needs, address their issues, eliminate oppression and build a just and compassionate society.

Our Mission

Catholic Charities shares the mission held by Catholic Charities USA: to provide service to people in need, to advocate for justice in social structures, and to call the entire Church and other people of good will to do the same.

Catholic Charities of Stark County

Catholic Charities of Stark County has been providing services to the community for more than 60 years and continues to provide traditional services as well as those that address the emerging needs of an ever-changing society.  Programming includes: emergency assistance with food, clothing, shelter and utilities; prescription assistance; a money management program, housing counseling, the First Step Center for Family Support, and caregiver support.  In addition, Catholic Charities operates two Adult Day Services locations in Massillon and Louisville.
